Our first knife is near and dear to my heart.

Intro: This is the very first knife I picked up for my collection. It continues to be one of my absolute favourite knives.

Overview: Everyone that has handled this knife has been extremely impressed with it. The knife features an IKBS ball bearing system and it’s one of the smoothest non-custom flippers you’ll find.

If you’ve never heard of veff serrations before, you’ll learn a thing or two. For those friends who can’t stand a blade having teeth on it, toss this in their hand and listen to them try to fight how cool it looks.

If you personally want a smoother gentlemens style knife , you can forgo the veffing. The fossil also comes in a slightly smaller, maybe more manageable size. Photo cred

Cost: Coming in at around $60.00 US it is also extremely affordable, whether it be for the first-timer or the expert.

Steelcrafts Series Spotlight – Field Marshall

Todd Begg – Steelcraft Series – Field Marshallsteelcraft_field_marshall_180984_1

The Field Marshall is a monster. It’s the perfect size for a large handsome custom. Collectors have their own opinions on their customs, for me, anything under 7.5″ is a waste.

This specific knife is currently available as a pre-owed on Arizona Custom Knives for $365 USD. This is an absolute steal, the conversion to CAD puts it closer to $500, not so great for us Canadians, if I was operating under USD this piece would be sold.

Although I don’t want to encourage it , get this beauty HERE today.

This shop produces some gorgeous customs, albeit strange looking. If you are on the search for something outlandish that will boggle your cohorts, look no further.

They may look ridiculously exotic, but that’s part of what gives them their charm. The carved stone look on these pieces is unlike anything I have seen, and at this price-point, this is definitely where I am looking to get my first custom knife.

From what I am able to find on availability, these knives range in the $125-$795 US area. Contacting them via Facebook is likely the best way to get an idea of what they may be able to produce for you and to develop an estimate.
